The New York Health Care Alliance is a network of 49 post acute
health care facilities providing a continuum of high quality care for patients
who need sub-acute care and rehabilitation.
The Direct Link is a patient placement service which provides Case
Managers and Discharge Planners with expert support and direct
access to over 12,000 skilled nursing, sub-acute and rehabilitation
beds. NYHCA members are contracted with all major health plans.

Marquis Rehabilitation and Care Center celebrates the centennial birthday of patient Angelina
Izzo
Marquis Rehabilitation and Care Center, a 102 bed skilled nursing facility located in Glen Cove, NY celebrated resident Angelina Izzo 100th birthday on February 3rd. She was married to Angelo Izzo for
52 years they have five children, Immacolata, Sabatino, Carmen, Louie and Joseph, 14 grandchildren,
19 great grandchildren who were all in attendance at a party given by her family including a
visit from Glen Cove Mayor Ralph Suozzi.

Marquis celebrates the 1st Annual International Day
Marquis Rehabilitation and Care Center celebrated its First Annual International Day on
January 31, 2007. The staff, representing more than 30 countries cooked native dishes and
brought them in for all to taste, the facility was decorated with flags of all countries, with the
help of a family member who works as an interpreter for the United Nations and donated a
book of flags...the highlight was when the Philipino employees entertained with a Native Bamboo
Dance done with sticks.
ST. JOHNLAND STAFF RECOGNIZED
St. Johnland Nursing Center in Kings Park formally recognized its long-serving nursing and
administrative staff with a special dinner and award ceremony. CEO Mary Jean Weber commended
the honorees for their dedication, compassion and commitment to St. Johnland’s residents,
and praised them for working together as a team. Among those honored for 30 years
of service were Janice Clancy of St. James, Nora Clancy of Cutchogue, Gineen Crerend of Centereach,
Margaret Meyer of Kings Park and Sharon Rogers of Mastic. Also honored for 25
years of service were Eileen Prusinski of Holbrook and Lou Reda of Rocky Point.
In addition, 45 other employees were awarded pins and certificates for their service to the
residents of St. Johnland. Sixty-three percent of all employees have been at St. Johnland for
at least five years and 26% more than ten years.
