NYHCA is an affiliation of 55 skilled nursing facilities that provide sub-acute, rehabilitation and long term care services in the New York Metropolitan Area.

NYHCA is a managed care contracting entity responsible for group contracts with all of the major health plans in the New York Area.

NYHCA acts as a managed care liaison with area health plans and as a communication conduit for the dissemination of information between health plans and facilities. This information may be related to regulatory, policy and/or administrative changes.

NYHCA facilitates problem solving between facilities and health plans related to such issues as: patient eligibility, authorizations, claims and billing resolution, policy clarifications and discharge planning.

NYHCA provides Direct Link Patient Placement Services. One call to 1-877-HI-NYHCA, our Toll Free hotline provides hospital discharge planners, health plan case managers and families with access to an NYHCA nursing professional. NYHCA staff can help callers find the appropriate SNF within our network that meets the need of individuals who require sub-acute, rehabilitation and/or long term care placement.
NYHCA formed a Group Purchasing Organization to assist member facilities in achieving a stronger bottom line through contract purchasing. Through a comprehensive contract portfolio, member facilities participate in a vast array of contracts carrying a multitude of products and services. NYHCA provides education and training to member facilities related to managed care and skilled nursing facilities.
